Hitting the news

Great to see the 8th Warrington East (Croft) hitting the news last month with their support and help in getting a Defibrillator installed within their Village. The initiative was a partnership between the the Parish Council and the Scout Group. Check out the link in to the article in Warrington Worldwide where they get a mention.

Lord Derby Competition County Eliminator

Well done to the 9th Warrington East (Gorse Covert) Scouts in the Lord Derby Competition County Eliminator. Unfortunatly they didnt repeat the victory of last year in the same event, however they did still come a very credible 2nd Place. This means they still go on with the team from Chester who won to the Lord Derby Competition North West Regional Final. Both teams will be representing Cheshire County this Saturday 10th June at Tatton Park Scout Campsite. Good Luck to them and hope they have a good time.

Long Service Awards

Gilwell have announced that they will commence issuing long service certificates again in the autumn after a break of nearly 12 months caused by data processing issues. No doubt there will be a significant backlog of this so once they arrive they will be distributed as swiftly as possible.
